This affair was accomplished by the Creator and Lehna's light merged into the Nanak's Divine light. |4|3|5|

All the men utter God's Name, but by such utterance man becomes not one with the Lord.

Those whose hearts are filled with hypocrisy and who are outwardly called saints,

Though man may strenuously bathe at many places of pilgrimage, even then his mind's ego never departs.

The man whose duality departs not from him, the Righteous Judge shall punish him. |3|

The man, on whom is God's grace, obtains Him; how few are the Gurmukhs who understand Him.

O Nanak, if a man slays his ego from within, then does he meet the Lord. |4|4|6|

The man whose self-conceit the Lord stills, is at peace and is blessed with an ever stable intellect.

Immaculate is the person who by Guru's instruction understands God and fixes his mind on His Feet. |1|

O my unconscious mind, remember thou the Lord and thou shall obtain the fruit that thou desirest.

By Guru's grace thou shalt obtain God's elixir by continually drinking which thou shalt have eternal peace. |1| «Pause»

When man meets the True Guru, he then becomes the philosopher's stone, and when
he becomes such, the Lord then makes mortals worship him.

He, who adores him, attains the reward and instructing others he reveals to them the Truth. |2|

Without becoming the philosopher's stone, man is not worthy of worship; without instructing his own mind, how can he instruct others?

Wisdom is neither gained at Banaras, nor is the wisdom lost at Banaras.

Hear thou God's discourse, O man, and enshrine His Name within thy mind.

Enshrine thou the God's Feet in thy mind, and thine sins will be erased.

If thy soul overcomes the five elements, then shalt thou have an abode at the True Shrine. |2|

This mind of an apostate is stupid and it obtains not understanding.

It does not understand the Name of the Lord and departs repenting in the end. |3|

In this mind are Banaras, all the shrines and Simirtis, and this - the True Guru has explained.
В этом разуме находятся Банары, все алтари и Симирты, и это объяснил Истинный

The sixty-eight holy places remain with him, in whose heart the Lord is contained. |4|

O Nanak, on meeting the True Guru, God's will is known, and the one Lord comes to abide in man's mind.

They, who please Thee, O True Lord, are all true and they remain absorbed in Thee. |5|6|8|

With thy tongue taste thou the God's elixir, then shalt thy soul be rendered pure. |1| «Pause»

By meeting the True Guru the mind is satiated and then desire and hunger harass not the man any more.

Having received the Name-treasure none knocks at another's door. |2|

Even though the perverse person talks and prattles, still he obtains not understanding.

One, whose heart is illumined by Guru's teachings, he alone receives the Lord's Name. |3|

Thou hearest Shashtras, but realisest not God, wherefore thou wanderest from door to door.

He, who understands not his own self and cherishes not love for the True Lord, is a fool. |4|

The True Lord has hook-winked the world, and the man has no say therein.

I, an insect and a worm, seek Thy shelter. Mercifully bestow on me the light of God's Name, O True Guru. |1|

O my Friend, the Great Guru, illumine me with the Name of the omnipresent Lord.

The greatest good fortune is of the men of God, who have faith in the Lord Master and thirst for God.

By obtaining the Name of the Lord God, they are sated and meeting the society of Saints their virtues shine forth. |2|

They, who have not gained God, God's elixir and God's Name, are unfortunate and are handed over to Death's myrmidon.

Fie on the life and accursed is the hope of living of those who have not sought the society and protection of the True Guru. |3|

The men of God who have attained the society of the True Guru, they have on their forehead the preordained writ.

meeting God's slave, O Nanak, manifest becomes the Lord's Name. |4|1|

The worship of God is an ocean of peace and by Guru's instruction wealth,

Evil-minded, unfortunate and with shallow intellect are they, who in their mind feel angry on hearing the Name.

By Guru's instruction they obtain Lord God's nectar, God's essence and the store-house of devotion. |2|

They, who obtain not the vision of Sat-Guru, the True Personage, are unfortunate and are destroyed by Death's courier.

They are like curs, pigs and asses, and are cast into the womb-existences, and the Lord smites them as great murderers. |3|

O kind to the poor, have mercy on Thy slave and save him by showering Thine benediction.

Be merciful and so mould my mind, O Lord, that I may night and day ever meditate on Thy Name.

God is all peace, all merit and all wealth, and by remembering Him all misery and hunger depart. |1|

The longing of my soul and body is for God, and the Lord has fulfilled my

Human birth is obtained through beneficent acts, and accursed, accursed it is without the Name, and it goes in vain.

Within my heart and body, I have enshrined love for the feet of the Guru's Sikhs.

When it pleases the Lord Master, He then causes man to meet the Gurumukhs, to whose souls the hymns of the great Satguru are sweet.

Very fortunate are the dear Sikhs of the Guru, who through the immaculate Lord attain the supreme state of Nirvana. |2|

The Guru, the congregation of the Guru, is dear to God, as to the Guru's mind Lord God's Name is sweet and pleasing.

He, who obtains not the society and association of the True Guru, him, the unfortunate sinful, Death's courier eats up. |3|

If the kind Master Himself shows mercy, then assisted by the Supreme Guru, God Himself meets the mortal.

Attendant Nanak utters the glorious hymns; through them, the man is absorbed in God's Name. |4|5|

Ambrosial words are the hymns of the True Guru and the Nectar trickles into the mouth of him who utters them. |2|

Immaculate is God's Name, to which filth attaches not. Through Guru's instruction, repeat it with love.

The man, who has not received the wealth of God's Name, he is unfortunate and dies again and again. |3|

God, the Bestower, is the source of joy and the life of the world. He makes happy all the humans who meditate on Him.

Thou art the Giver, all the beings are Thine, says slave Nanak; Thou pardonest the pious persons and blendest them with Thyself. |4|6|

Within His Saintly persons God Himself infuses His devotion.

In the midst of family life, they remain unattached. |2|

When hearty love is established with God,

I do those deeds and work to which God has yoked me,

In the rocks and stones He has created the beings and their sustenance He puts before them. |1|

O my venerable Lord of souls, he who mixes with the society of Saints is saved.

Mother, father, friends, children and spouse - no one is the support of any other.

The flamingos come having flown over hundreds of miles while their young ones they leave behind.

Who feeds them and who enables them to peck? Hast thou ever thought of it in thy mind? |3|

All the treasures and the eighteen supernatural powers the Lord holds on the palm of His Hand.

Slave Nanak is devoted, dedicated and ever a sacrifice unto Thee, O Lord, and to Thine vastness there is no limit or bound. |4|1|

There is but one God. By True Guru's grace, He is obtained.

The men perform four rituals and six religious rites, and in these, the worldly men are engrossed.
Люди выполняют четыре ритуала и шесть религиозных обрядов, и этим поглощены
мирские люди.
From within they are not cleansed of the filth of ego and without the Guru they lose the game. |1|
Изнутри они не очищены от грязи эго, и без Гуру они проигрывают игру.
O my Lord, preserve me Thou mercifully.

Out of millions hardly anyone is a servant of God; all others are but traders. |1| «Pause»

The Shastras, Vedas and Simritis, I have all searched and they all say but one thing:

If a man has ablution and bath at sixty-eight places of pilgrimage and wanders over the whole earth,
Если человек принимает омовения в 68-и местах паломничества и скитается по всему
миру,
And even if he performs various purifications day and night, yet there would be all darkness without the True Guru. |3|
И если он выполняет различные очищения днём и ночью, то даже тогда, без
Истинного Гуру всё остаётся во тьме.
Roaming and rambling, I have traversed the whole world but now I have arrived at God's door.
Скитаясь и блуждая, я обошёл весь мир, но теперь я прибыл к двери Бога.
The Lord has obliterated my evil intellect and has enlightened my understanding, and the Exalted Guru has saved slave Nanak. |4|1|2|

The wealth of God's Name is my adoration; the wealth of God's Name is my
penance; and the wealth of God's Name is my food, which I relish.

которой я наслаждаюсь.
Even for a moment in my mind I forget not the Lord God, whom I have obtained in the Saints society. |1|

O mother, thy son has returned home with a profit:

I possess God's wealth while walking, God's wealth while sitting and God's wealth while waking and sleeping. |1| «Pause»

God's wealth is my bath; God's wealth my gnosis; and with God I fix my attention.

The wealth of God's Name is my raft; the wealth of God's Name is my boat; and the Lord Master is the ship to ferry me across. |2|

моя лодка; а Господь Мастер – это судно, которое перевезёт меня на другую
сторону.

Through the Lord's wealth I have forgotten my anxiety, and through Lord's wealth my doubt is removed.
Благодаря благоденствию Господа, я забыл свои беспокойства, и благодаря
благоденствию Господа, мои сомнения исчезли.
From the wealth of Lord's Name I have obtained the nine treasures and God; the real Substance has come to my hand. |3|
Благодаря благоденствию Имени Господа, я обрёл девять сокровищ и Бога; и я имею
настоящую Сущность.
You eat and spend this wealth but it exhausts not, and here and hereafter it shall remain with you.
Мы кушаем и тратим это богатство, однако оно не истощается, и здесь и в

Loading the treasure, the Guru has given it to Nanak, and his mind is imbued with God's love. |4|2|3|

By remembering Him, all the sins are erased and the ancestors are saved;

O son, this is thy mother's blessing.

May the True Guru be King unto thee and may thou imbibe love for the society of Saints.

May the preservation of thy honour by the Lord be thy raiment and singing of His praises thy daily food. |2|
Пусть твоим одеянием будет то, что Господь предохраняет твою честь, а петь Ему
похвалы – будет твоей ежедневной пищей.
Ever quaff the Nectar of God's Name. May thou live long and may the meditation of God afford thee endless delight.
Всегда, большими глотками пей Имя Божие. Пусть ты будешь долго жить, и пусть
медитация на Бога доставит тебе бесконечное наслаждение.
May joy and playful pleasure be thine; may thine hopes be realised, and may thou never be troubled by worries. |3|
Пусть радость и игривые удовольствия будут твоими; пусть твои надежды сбудутся,
и пусть ты никогда не будешь обеспокоен тревогами.
Let this mind of thine become the humming bumble bee and God's Feet be the lotus flower.
Позволь своему разуму стать жужжащим шмелем, и пусть Божьи Ноги будут лотусовым

Says slave Nanak, attach thy mind to them and happily bloom like the pied-cuckoo that rejoices on finding the rain drop. |4|3|4|

The man decides to go to the west, but is led away to the east, by the Lord.

In an instant the Lord is potent to establish and destroy; and He holds all matters in His Hand. |1|
В мгновение Господь могуществен и установить и уничтожить; и Он держит все дела
в Своей Руке.
Mans designs, man's sagacity is of no avail.
Намерения человека, остроумие человека – бесполезны.
Whatever my Lord deems to be right, that thing alone happen. |1| «Pause»
Что бы мой Господь ни считал правильным, только то и происходит. «Пауза»
In his desire to acquire land and to amass wealth, mans breath escapes him.
В своём желании приобрести поместье и накорить богатство, вдохи и выдохи
человека от него убегают.
He leaves all his armies, assistants and servants, and getting up departs to the city of Death. |2|
Он оставляет все свои армии, помощников и слуг, и, поднимаясь, он отправляется в
город Смерти.
Deeming himself unique, man sticks to his mind's obstinacy and shows himself off.
Считая себя уникальным, человек цепляется за упрямство своего разума и

The food, which the blameless people have condemned and discarded, that he eats again and again. |3|

He, unto whom the Lord spontaneously becomes merciful, that man's noose of Death is cut off.

Says Nanak, he who meets the perfect Guru, is approved whether he is a family man, or an anchoret. |4|4|5|

The persons, who contemplate on the Name treasure, their shackles are shattered.

Lust, wrath, poisonous wealth and egoism - they get rid of these diseases. |1|
Похоть, гнев, ядовитое богатство и эгоизм – они избавляются от этих болезней.
He, who joining the society of Saints, sings God's praise,

Has his mind purified by Guru's grace and obtains the joy of all the joys. |1| «Pause»

Whatever the Lord does, that he deems good; such is the devotional service that he performs.

To deem friends and enemies all as the same, is an index of the way to meet God. |2|

The omnipresent Lord is filling all the places, so I go not anywhere else.
Вездесущий Господь заполняет все места, и так, мне незачем идти куда-то ещё.
The Lord is in every heart and within all the places; I am immersed in His love and dyed with His love. |3|
Господь находится в каждом сердце и во всех местах; я погружён в Его любовь и
окрашен Его любовью.
When the Lord of the Universe becomes kind and compassionate, then the man arrives at the abode of the Fearless One.
Когда Господь Вселенной проявляет доброту и сострадание, тогда человек прибывает
в жилище Бесстрашного.

In an instant his troubles and worries are ended, and he becomes absorbed in the Lord, O Nanak. |4|5|6|

Whoever I approach to ask for help, I find him full of his own troubles.

He, whosoever heartily contemplates on the supreme Lord, he alone crosses the terrible world-ocean. |1|

None but the Divine Guru can remove the distress and anguish.
Никто кроме Небесного Гуру не может удалить горе и мучения.
Forsaking the Lord, if one becomes a servant of another, one's honour, dignity and reputation get decreased, therewith. |1| «Pause»
Если мы оставим Господа и станем слугами другого, тогда наша честь, достоинство
и репутация из-за этого уменьшатся. «Пауза»
The worldly relations, relatives, kinsmen are of no avail.
Мирские родные, родственники и родственницы бесполезны.
God's slave, though of lowly birth, is exalted. In his company, man obtains his heart desired fruits. |2|
Божий раб, хотя он и низкой касты, он – возвышенный. В его обществе человек
обретает плоды, желанные его сердцем.
Man may obtain lacs and millions of viands through foul means, in them his desire is not quenched.
Человек может обрести сотни тысяч и миллионы деликатесов нечестными средствами,
но это не утолит его желания.
Remember the Name, millions of lights appear and then unseen Thing is manifested. |3|
Помня же Имя, появляются миллионы огней, а затем невидимая Вещь станет явной.
Roaming and rambling I have come to Thine door, O sovereign God, the Destroyer of fear.

Serf Nanak desires the dust of Saints feet. In it he finds his happiness. |4|6|7|

There is but one God. By the True Guru's grace he is obtained.

The Name-treasure, the True Guru has established in me, which neither dies nor goes anywhere. |1|

All other greeds of the greedy are false.

The perfect Guru has given me the God's Name, which my soul has come to treasure. |1| «Pause»

Surrounded by dear friends, relations, children, siblings and spouse, the mortal playfully laughs.
Окружённый дорогими друзьями, родственниками, детьми, братьями, сёстрами, и
супругом или супругой, смертный игриво смеётся.
But when the last moment arrives, death seizes him, while they look on. |2|
Но когда прибывает его последний момент, смерть его хватает, а они на него
смотрят.
By continuously exercising oppression, man amasses wealth, gold, silver and money,
Беспрерывным угнетением, человек копит богатство, золото, серебро и деньги,
But the hireling only gets the hire thereof and all else passes on to others. |3|
Одноко наёмник только получает наёмную оплату за это, а всё остальное переходит
к другим.
Snatching perforce man collects horses, elephants and chariots, and claims them as his own.
Используя силу, человек собирает лошадей, слонов и колесницы, и претендует, что
всё это его собственное.
But when he sets out on the long journey, they travel not even a step with him. |4|
Однако когда он начинает долгое путешествие, они с ним не движутся даже на шаг.
The Name is my wealth; the Name - my royal peace; and the Name - my family and helper.
Имя – это моё богатство; Имя – это мой царский покой; и Имя – это моя семья и
помощник.
The great Lord has given Nanak the wealth of the Name, and that neither perishes nor comes and goes. |5|1|8|
Великий Господь дал Нанаку богатство Имени; оно и не исчезает, и не приходит, и

Absorbed in the Nectar of love worship, he sings God's praises the eight-watches through.

Both in weal and woe he remains unaffected and recognizes his Creator. |2|
Оба - и благо, и печаль на него не влияют, и он опознаёт своего Творца.
He, to whom he belongs, saves him, and all the ways are opened unto him.

Says Nanak, the worth of the merciful mighty Master cannot be told. |3|1|9|

There is but one God. By True Guru's grace, He is obtained.

The Lord has purified the sinners and made them Him Own, and all pay obeisance unto them.

No one asks their lineage and caste, but instead they desire the dust of their feet. |1|

O Lord, such is the glory of Thy Name.

Thou art called the Lord of all Creation, and Thou givest singular backing to Thy servant. |1| «Pause»

In the guild of Saints, Nanak has obtained understanding, and singing the praise of God is his mainstay.

Lord's serfs, Namdev, Trilochan, Kabir and Ravidas - the shoe-maker, got emancipated. |2|1|10|
Крепостные Господа: Намдев, Трилочан, Кабир, и Равидас – сапожник, стали
свободными.

There is no knower of the Lord, who can understand His plans.
Нет такого знатока Господа, который может понять Его планы.
Shiva, Brahma and all the silent sages cannot comprehend Lord's condition. |1|
Шива, Брахма и все безмолвные мудрецы не могут понять состояние Господа.
The Lord's discourse is recondite and unfathomable.
Речь Господа – тайная и непостижимая.
God is heard to be one thing, but on comprehension, appears to be quit another type. He is beyond narration and exposition. |1| «Pause»
Мы слышим что Бог такой-то, но когда об этом думаем, тогда Он кажется другим. Он
вне описания и объяснения. «Пауза»
God Himself is the devotee and Himself - His Master. He is imbued with Himself.
Бог Сам является Себе преданным, и Сам – Своим Мастером. Он насыщен Собою.
Nanaks Lord is pervading all and he beholds Him everywhere. |2|2|11|
Господь Нанака проникает через всё, и он видит Его везде.

The Lord's attendant knows no design, politics and cleverness.
Слуга Господа не имеет никаких умышлений, политики и уловок.
Wherever an occasion arises, there he meditates on God. |1|

The innate nature of the Lord is to love His devotees.
Врождённая натура Господа – это любить Своих преданных.
God cherishes His slave and caresses him as His Own child. |1| «Pause»

The Lord's serf hymns His praise as the worship, penance, self- discipline, and religious ceremonies.
Для крепостного Господа, славославить Его является богослужением, раскаиванием,

Nanak has entered the Lord's sanctuary and is blessed with fearlessness and peace. |2|3|12|

My dear, remember thou the Lord, day and night, make not a moment's delay.

With faith, thou perform service to the Saints, and put aside thy pride and obstinacy. |1|
С верой, ты выполняй службу для Святых и отложи в сторону свою гордость и
упрямство.
The fascinating, playful Lord is my very life and honour.
Очаровательный, игривый Господь – это сама моя жизнь и честь.
He abides with my soul, and my mind is bewitched as I behold His sports. |1| «Pause»
Он пребывает с моей душой, и мой разум очарован когда я вижу Его игры. «Пауза»
By remembering Him, my mind is in bliss and mind's rust is removed.
Помня Его, мой разум находится в блаженстве, и ржавчина разума исчезает.
The greatness of meeting the Lord cannot be described. O Nanak, it is infinitely beyond measure. |2|4|13|

Men call themselves silent sages, Yogis and learned in Shashtras, but mammon has them all under her control.

The three gods (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) and three hundred and thirty millions of demigods were astonished. |1|
Три божества (Брахма, Вишну и Шива) и 330 000 000 полубогов были изумлены.

The powerful mammon continues to pervade amongst all.

Her secret if obtained by Guru's grace, and none besides the Guru, knows it. |1| «Pause»

Ever conquering, she has subdued all the places and is clinging to the whole world.

I meditate on my Lord, and with both hands joined, make a supplication.

Giving His hand the transcendent Lord has saved me and obliterated all my sins. |1|

The Lord Himself has become merciful.

I have attained salvation and become an embodiment of bliss. I have become the Lord's child and He has carried me across. |1| «Pause»

Meeting her Groom, the bride sings the songs of joy and applauds her Lord.

Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice unto the Guru who has emancipated all. |2|6|15|

The mother, father, brother, sons and kinsmen, their power is insignificant.

I have seen many pleasures of wealth, but none even slightly goes with the man. |1|

My Lord, without Thee, none is mine.

I am a virtueless orphan, I am devoid of merit and I long for Thy support. |1| «Pause»

I am a sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice unto Thine feet and here and hereafter Thine is the only power.

In the Saints guild, O Nanak, I have obtained Thy vision and my obligation to all others is annulled. |2|7|16|

The Guru rids man of domestic entanglements, doubt and worldly love and makes him bear love with the Lord.

The Guru implants only this instruction in the mind of the man that he should slowly and steadily sing God's praises. |1|
Гуру вкореняет в разум человека только это указание, так чтобы он не спеша и
неизменно славославил Бога.
O friend, such a helper is the Saint Guru.
О друг, вот таким помощником является Святой Гуру.
Meeting Him, the bonds of mammon are loosened and the man never forgets the Lord. |1| «Pause»

Continuously doing various deeds in many ways I have thought this as the best.

In an instant the Lord establishes and destroys, and His worth cannot be told.
Мигом Господь учреждает и уничтожает, и о Его ценности не рассказать.
In a moment He turns a king into a pauper, and into the lowly He infuses splendour. |1|

Ever meditate thou on thy God.
Всегда медитируй на своего Бога.
Why should I feel worry or anxiety, when I am here for only a short time? |1| «Pause»

Thou art my prop, O my perfect Satguru and my soul has fallen under Thy protection.

Thou art the beneficent Lord of all the beings and do Thou abide within my mind.

The heart wherein Thine lotus feet are enshrined, there is no darkness and doubt. |1|
В сердце, в котором находятся Твои лотусовые ноги, нет тьмы и сомнения.
My Lord, wherever I remember Thee, there I find Thee.
Мой Господь, где бы я ни помнил Тебя, там я Тебя и нахожу.
O Lord, the Cherisher of all, have mercy on me, that I may ever praise Thee. |1| «Pause»

At every breath, I contemplate on Thine Name, O Lord, and long for Thee alone.

Show mercy, my Lord, and grant me Thine vision. Thine praises, I sing night and day.

With my hair, I cleanse the feet of Thine slave, and this is my life's object. |1|
Своим волосом я мою ноги Твоим рабам, и это является целью моей жизни.
O Master, without Thee there is no other and second.
О Мастер, без Тебя нет никого другого и второго.
My God, in my mind I remember Thee, and with my tongue I repeat Thy Name and with mine eyes I look towards Thee. |1| «Pause»

My merciful Master, Thou art the Lord of all and with joined hands I make a supplication before Thee.

Overwhelming the realm of Brahma, the realm of Shiva and the realm of Indra, the mammon has come running here.
Подавляя царство Брахмы, царство Шивы и царство Индры, мамона прибежала сюда.
But it cannot touch the society of Saints and ever rubs and washes Saints feet. |1|
Однако она не может дотронуться до Святых и всегда массажирует и моет им ноги.
Now, I have come and entered the Guru's asylum.
Теперь я вошёл в святилище Гуру.
This severe fire of mammon has badly burnt many, and the True Guru has cautioned me regarding this. |1| «Pause»
Этот жестокий огонь мамоны сильно обжёг многих, и Истинный Гуру предупредил меня

It clings to the necks of the Siddhas and the seekers, the demi-gods, angels and mortals.
Этот огонь цепляется за шеи Сиддхов и ищущих, и полубогов, полубогинь, ангелов и
смертных.
Nanak has the prop of the Creator Lord who has millions of such like hand-maidens. |2|12|21|
У Нанака есть опора Творца Господа, у которого есть миллионы таких же слуг.

By Lord's meditation, infamy is shelved, celebrity is gained in the world and a seat is obtained in Lord's Court.
Благодаря медитации Господа, бесчестие стирается; он обретает известность в мире
и сидение при Дворе Господа.
The fear of death is removed in an instant and the man goes to God's mansion with peace and pleasure. |1|
Страх смерти в мгновение исчезает, и человек идёт в Божий дворец в покое и
удовольствии.
Wherefore his service goes not in vain.
Его служба не проходит впустую.
Throughout the eight-watches contemplate thou on thy Lord, and with thy soul and body ever remember Him. |1| «Pause»
В течение 24-х часов медитируй же ты на своего Господа, и душой и телом всегда
помни Его. «Пауза»
O Lord, the Destroyer of the sorrow of the poor, I seek Thy shelter; and whatever Thou givest me, I receive only that.
О Господь, уничтожающий горе убогих, я ищу Твой приют; и что бы Ты ни дал мне, я
принимаю только это.
With the love of Thine lotus feet, Nanak is imbued; O God, preserve Thou the honour of Thy slave. |2|13|22|
Нанак пропитан любовью Твоих лотусовых ног; О Бог, пожалуйста, сохрани честь

The all-sustaining Lord is the Giver of all beings; His devotional worship is an overflowing treasure.
Всех-содержащий Господь благодетелен ко всем существам; преданная Ему служба –
это до краёв наполненный склад.
Service to Him is not wasted; in an instant He emancipates the mortal. |1|
Его служба не проходит зря; в мгновение Он освобождает смертного.
My soul, remain thou merged with Lords lotus feet.
Моя душа, оставайся же поглощённой лотусовыми ногами Господа.
Do thou beg of Him, whom all the beings worship. |1| «Pause»
Ты пожалуйста, умоляй Того, кого богословят все существа. «Пауза»
Thine sanctuary Nanak has entered, O Creator. Thou, O Lord, art the support of my soul.
Нанак вошёл в Твоё святилище, О Творец. Ты, О Господь – опора моей души.
What can the world do unto him, whom Thou, O Helper, protectest? |2|14|23|
Что может мир сделать тому, кому Ты, О Помощник, покровительствуешь?

The Lord Himself has protected the honour of His slave.
Господь Сам защитил честь Своего раба.
The Guru has given the medicine of Lord God's Name, and all his anguish has departed. |1| «Pause»

The exalted Lord, in His mercy, has preserved Har Gobind.
Высокопоставленный Господь, по Своей милости, сохранил Хар Гобинда.
The calamity is over; there is joy all round; and we ever ponder over God's praise. |1|
Несчастья закончились; вокруг – радость; и мы всегда славославим Бога.
My Creator Lord has made me His Own; such is the glorious greatness of the perfect Guru.
Мой Творец Господь сделал меня Своим Собственным; таково величие совершенного
Гуру.
Guru Nanak has laid the immovable foundation, which grows higher and higher each day. |2|15|24|
