Thy life has passed in doing worldly deeds and thou hast not sung the glorious praises of the treasure of the Naam. |1| «Pause»

Through deception thou amasseth money, shell by shell, and in many ways thou strives for this.

By forgetting the Lord thou meetest with numberless calamities which cannot be counted, and thou art eaten up by the chief fascinator - the mammon. |1|

Show mercy, O my Master, and take not mine acts into account.

The Name alone is His Saints sustenance, and in this world and the world beyond it is their prop.

In His mercy and kindness, the Guru has given me the divine wisdom of God and a discriminating intellect. |1|
По Своей милости и доброте, Гуру даровал мне небесную мудрость Бога и

The omnipotent Lord is the cause of all causes and the Master of wealth, and His refuge I seek.
Всемогущий Господь является причиной всех причин и Мастером благоденствия, и Его

Salvation and secular success abide in the dust of the Saints feet, and thus, Nanak has obtained the Lord's treasure. |2|17|26|

There is but one God. By True Guru's grace, He is obtained.

Sing thou the praises of thy transcendent Master - the Lord God. |1|

O my soul, ponder over the Lord's lotus feet.

Thou shall obtain all peace and salvation and all thine woes shall depart. |1| «Pause»

Mother, father, sons, friends and brothers - without Him none of them is thine.
Мама, папа, сыновья, друзья и братья – без Него никто из них твой.
Here and hereafter He is with the soul as its companion, and He, the Lord, is pervading everywhere. |2|
И здесь и в потустороннем мире Он находится с душой как её компаньон, и Он –
Господь, распространяется повсюду.
Millions of devices, designs and efforts are of no avail and serve no purpose.
Миллионы устройств, планов и усилий бесполезны и не приносят пользы.
In the sanctuary of the Saints man becomes pure and obtains salvation by the Lord's Name. |3|
А в святилище Святых человек становится непорочным и обретает спасание при
помощи Имени Господа.
The inaccessible, compassionate and lofty Lord is potent to afford shelter to the Saints.
Недосягаемый, сострадательный и возвышенный Господь могуществен дать убежище
Святым.
He alone obtained the Lord, O Nanak, who is preordained to meet Him. |4|1|27|
Только тот обретает Господа, О Нанак, кому было предопределено с Ним

Ever serve thy Guru and utter the praises of the Lord of the Universe.

O my soul, utter thou the Lord's Name.

Thou shall be blessed with peace, poise and pleasure, and thou shall secure an immaculate seat. |1| «Pause»

In the society of Saints redeem thou thine soul and think of the Lord eight watches through.
В обществе Святых ты спаси свою душу и думай о Господе все 24 часа в сутки.
Thine lust, wrath and ego shall be stilled and all thine wranglings shall end. |2|
Твои похоть, гнев и эго остановятся, и все твои прения придут к концу.
Immovable, immortal and inscrutable is the Lord; His protection seek thou, O man.
Господь – непоколебимый, бессмертный и непостижимый; ищи же ты Его поддержку, О

Meditate thou on His lotus feet in thy mind and contract love for the Lord alone. |3|
В своём разуме ты медитируй на Его лотусовые ноги и обними любовь только к
Господу.
The transcendent Lord Master has shown mercy and Himself pardoned me.
Находящийся за пределами понимания Господь Мастер проявил милость и Сам меня

God has given me His Name - the treasure of all peace; O Nanak, then contemplate thou on Him, the Lord. |4|2|28|

Worship, penance and various rituals are contained in the fruitful meditation of the Name.

Showing mercy, the Lord has Himself protected me, and all my affairs have been arranged. |2|

O my omnipotent Lord Master, may I never forget Thee with each and every breath.

How can one tongue describe Thine manifold virtues? They are innumerable and ever ineffable. |3|

Thou art the remover of the sorrow of the poor, the Saviour, merciful and the grantor of compassion.

Immovable dignity is obtained by contemplating over the Name. Nanak has firmly grasped the Lord God's protection. |4|3|29|

Haughty intellect and exceedingly great love of mammon are the serious, chronic diseases.

With mind and body I yearn for the dust of feet of the Saints.

In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, man is hounded by dreadful desires.

Uttering Lord's praise through the Guru's given gnosis (spiritual wisdom), death's noose is shattered. |2|
Произнося похвалы Господу, благодаря Гуру, который дарует знание духовных тайн,

They, who are cheated by lust, wrath, avarice and worldly love, ever suffer transmigration.
Те, которых обманывает похоть, гнев, алчность и мирская любовь, всегда страдают
от перевоплощений.
By Lord's devoted worship and Master's meditation, wandering into births is ended. |3|
А благодаря преданному богослужению Господу и медитации Мастера, скитание в
перевоплощениях заканчивается.
Man's friends, sons, wife and well-wishers are being burnt with the three fevers.
Друзья, сыновья, жена и доброжелатели человека – всех их жгут три горячки.
Meeting the holy men of God, man shakes off his miseries by repeating the Lord's Name. |4|
Встретившись со святыми людьми Бога, человек стряхивает прочь свои бедствия
благодаря тому, что он повторяет Имя Господа.
Wandering in all directions, the mortals cry out: "By no means what-so-ever, are we saved.
Повсюду скитаясь, смертные плачут: «Совершенно никакой способ не может нам
помочь спастись».
Nanak has entered the sanctuary of the Divine Feet of the infinite Lord and is holding fast to their protection. |5|4|30|

By uttering Lord's praise and hearing of His infinite greatness thou shalt not again suffer separation from Him. |1|
Произнося похвалы Господу и слушая о Его несметном величии, ты больше не будешь

My soul, worship thou the lotus feet of the Lord.

Repeat thou the Name of God to consume thine enemies - as there is absolutely no other method.

Singing the glorious praises of the Lord, the woes depart, and fear and doubt are dispelled. |1|
Распевая восхитительные похвалы Господу, горе уходит, а страх и сомнения

O, Lord of the Universe, without Thee, I have no other place.

O, transcendent Lord Master, show mercy unto me that I may utter Thine Name. «Pause»

Serving the True Guru, I am attached to God's feet and by great good destiny I have embraced love for Him.

In the Saints' guild, the heart-lotus blossoms and the man is rid of the evil understanding and intellect. |2|

He, who sings God's praise all day long and remembers the Lord who is kind to the poor,
Тот, кто весь день поёт Божьи похвалы и помнит Господа – доброго к бедным,
Saves himself and redeems all his associates and all his bonds are loosened. |3|
Сам спасается и спасает всех своих товарищей, и все его оковы раскрываются.
Of Thine feet, I have the support, O Lord Master. Like warp and woof Thou art with me, O Lord.

Nanak has entered Thy asylum, O Master, and giving His hand God has protected him. |4|2|32|

In the village of the body dwell the five thieves, and though they have been warned, they still go out stealing.

He, who keeps his capital safe from three modes and ten passions, obtains salvation and emancipation, O Nanak. |1|

Meditate thou on the omnipresent Lord, the wearer of the garland of jungles.

Its roots shoot upwards and branches downwards; the four Vedas are attached to it.
Его корни растут вверх, а ветки вниз; четыре Веды прикреплены к нему.
He alone reaches this tree with ease, O Nanak, who remains wakeful in the love of the supreme Lord God. |2|
Только тот достигает этого дерева, О Нанак, кто остаётся пробуждённым в любви к

The Elysian tree is in the courtyard of my house and it has the flowers, leaves and stems of truth.
Елисейское дерево является двором моего дома, и там есть цветы, листья и стебли

Ponder over the bright, self-existent Lord, whose light is pervading everywhere, and renounce thou the various worldly involvements. |3|
Так размышляйте же о ярком, само-существующем Господе, свет которого
распространяется повсюду, и откажитесь от разнообразных мирских связей.
Hear, O ye, seekers of Truth, Nanak entreats thee to give up the secular bonds.
Слушайте, О вы, ищущие Истины, Нанак умоляет вас отказаться от мирских связей.
Deem thou in thy mind that by imbibing love for one God, thou shalt not again be subjected to birth and death. |4|
В своём разуме вы считайте, что впитывая любовь к единственному Богу, вы больше
не будете подвержены рождению и смерти.
He alone is said to be a Guru, he alone is said to be a Sikh, and he alone is
said to be a physician, who knows the patient's malady.
Только о том можно сказать, что он – Гуру, только он – Сикх, и только он – врач,
кто знает заболевание больного.
Deeds, duties and entanglements involve him not, and while doing his household affairs, he remains united with the Lord. |5|
Поступки, обязанности и замешательства не запутывают того, кто, делая свои
домашние дела, остаётся соединённым с Господом.
He forsakes lust, wrath, egotism, avarice, temporal love and worldly valuables.
Он оставляет похоть, гнев, эготизм, скупость, мирскую любовь и мирские ценности.
Within his mind he meditates on the true and imperishable Lord, and he finds Him by the Guru's grace. |6|
В своём разуме он медитирует на истинного и нетленного Господа, и такой человек
находит Его по милости Гуру.
Spiritual wisdom and meditation are all said to be God's gifts unto him, and all the demons are turned white colour before him.
Говорят, что духовная мудрость и медитация это подарки Бога для него, и перед
ним все демоны окрашиваются в белый цвет.
He enjoys the relish of the honey of Lord's lotus, remains awake and falls not asleep. |7|
Он наслаждается вкусом мёда лотуса Господа, остаётся пробуждённым и не засыпает.
The lotus of the Lord is exceedingly profound and its leaves are the nether regions and it is united with the entire world, O Nanak.
Лотус Господа весьма проникновенный; его листьями являются нижние регионы, и он
соединён со всем миром, О Нанак.
By virtue of Guru's teaching I shall not enter the womb again. I have discarded poison and quaffed the Name-Nectar. |8|1|

Those who beg of the beneficent Lord, their numbers cannot be counted.

My Lord God, bless me with Thy Name that I may have peace. Thine treasures are brimful with devotion. |1| «Pause»

Some remain absorbed in Lord's love in profound trance and reflect over but one Name.
Некоторые, в глубоком трансе, остаются поглощёнными любовью Господа и
раздумывают только об единственном Имени.
In that state there is no water, land, earth and sky, and the Creator - all by Himself - remains. |2|
В таком состоянии нет воды, сушы, земли и неба, а остаётся Творец – совсем один.
Then, there is no intoxication of mammon, no shadow of ignorance, neither the infinite light of the sun, nor of the moon.
Тогда, нет больше опьнения мамоны, нет тени невежества, и нет безграничного
света солнца и луны.
With the eyes in their mind, they behold everything and with their one glance,
they come to possess the knowledge of the three worlds. |3|
Глазами разума они видят всё, и, при помощи одного своего взгляда, они
овладевают знанием трёх миров.

He has created air, water, fire, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and the entire Creation.
Он сотворил воздух, воду, огонь, Брахму, Вишну, Шиву и всё Творение.
All are mumpers; Thou alone art the beneficent Lord. Thou givest volition. |4|
Все – нищие; только Ты – благодетельный Господь. Ты даёшь силу воли.
Thirty three millions of gods beg of the Lord Master, whose treasures exhaust not by giving.
33 миллиона божеств просят подаяния у Господа Мастера, сокровищницы которого не
опустошаются от того, что Он даёт.
In an inverted vessel nothing can be put, and the Nectar is seen falling into an upright one. |5|
В перевёрнутый сосуд ничего нельзя положить, но можно увидеть, что Нектар капает
в сосуд, который стоѝт правильно.
The Siddhas in their trance beg Thee for the alms of wealth and miracles, and proclaim Thine victory.
Сидхи, в трансе, просят у Тебя подояния богатства и чудес, и провозглашают Твою
победу.
As is the thirst in man's mind, so is the kind of water which Thou givest unto him. |6|
Какова жажда в разуме человека, такого сорта воду Ты ему и даёшь.
The very fortunate ones serve their Guru and there is no difference between the Guru and God.
Очень удачливые служат своему Гуру, и нет разницы между Гуру и Богом.
They, who in their mind, realise the Master's meditation, them the Death's minister spies not. |7|
За теми, которые в своём разуме осуществляют медитацию Мастера, министр Смерти
не следит.
O God, bless me with the love of Thine pure Name. At any time whatever, I beg Thee not for another thing.
О Бог, благослови меня любовью к Своему непорочному Имени. В какое бы то ни было
время я умоляю Тебя только об этом.
Nanak - the pied-cuckoo prays for the nectarous water of Thy Name, O Lord. Mercifully bless him with Thy praise. |8|2|
Нанак – кукушка, молится и просит нектарную воду Твоего Имени, О Господь.
Милосердно благослови его, чтобы он восхвалял Тебя.

O Sire, man is born, dies and continues coming and going again and again. Without the Guru, he is emancipated not.

The pious persons are imbued with the Name, and through the Name they obtain salvation and honour. |1|
Благочестивые люди насыщены Имнем, и благодаря Имени они обретают спасение и

O brother, fix thy mind on the Lord's Name.
О брат, зафиксируй свой разум на Имя Господа.
Such is the glory of the Name, that by Guru's grace, man begs of the Lord God alone. |1| «Pause»

O Sire, many men wear various religious garbs for begging and for filling their bellies.
О Господин, многие люди носят различные религиозные наряды для того, чтобы

O mortal, sans God's service, there is no peace and without the Guru, pride departs not. |2|
О смертный, не служа Богу, покоя нет, и без Гуру гордость не уходит.
O Sire, death ever stands over man's head. Birth after birth, it is his enemy.

They, who are imbued with the True Name, are saved; the True Guru has imparted this understanding unto me. |3|
Только те, которые насыщены Истинным Именем, спасаются; Истинный Гуру наделил

In Guru's sanctuary, Death's myrmidon cannot harass the man or even look at him.
В святилище Гуру мирмидон Смерти не может тревожить человека или даже на него
посмотреть.
With the imperishable and immaculate Lord I am imbued with, and with the fearless Master, I have imbibed affection. |4|
Я насыщен нетленным и безупречным Господом, и я поглощён нежностью к
бесстрашному Мастеру.
O Sire, implant the Name within me; lovingly attached to the Name I seek the True Guru's sanctuary.
О Господин, вкорени в меня Имя; я нежно приклеплён к Имени и ищу святилище
Истинного Гуру.
Whatever pleases Him - that He does, and His doings no one can erase. |5|
Что бы ни приносило Ему удовольствие, то Он и делает, и никто не может стиреть
Его действия.
O Sire, my Guru, I have hastened to Thine protection. Any other protection I like not.
О Господин, мой Гуру, я быстро взял Твоё покровительство. Любое другое
покровительство мне не нравится.
Ever do I utter the Name of the one Lord alone. Till eternity, it is my helper. |6|
Всегда я повторяю только Имя единственного Господа. Во веки веков оно является
моим помощником.
O Sire, please preserve the honour of Thy Name; I am hand and glove with Thou.
О Господин, пожалуйста сохрани честь Своего Имени; я с Тобою – как рука с
перчаткой.
Have mercy on me and show me Thy vision, O Guru. Through the Name, I have burnt down my ego. |7|
Прояви милость ко мне и покажи мне Себя, О Гуру. Через Имя я сжёг своё эго.
O Sire, what should I ask? Nothing appears permanent. Whosoever has come into this world, shall depart.
О Господин, чего мне просить? Ничто не постоянно. Кто бы ни пришёл в этот мир,
он отсюда уйдёт.
Grant unto Nanak the wealth of Thy Name, O Lord. His heart and neck he will adorn therewith. |8|3|

O Sire, I am not high neither low, nor middling. I am God's slave and I seek His protection.

He, within whose mind are the Hymns of the True Guru, obtains the pure Lord. He
is neither under the rule of death, nor does he owe death anything. |1| «Pause»

Он и не под законом смерти, и он ничего не должен смерти. «Пауза»
He utters God's praise with his tongue, feels Lord's presence and does whatever pleases Him, the Lord God.

Without God's Name, vain is man's life in this world, and every moment which passes without God goes fruitless. |2|

The Guru's gift none can erase, O Sire, for my Lord has Himself caused it to be given.

The black-faced slanderers, who like not Guru's gift, have slander in their mouth. |4|

O Sire, the Lord pardons and blends with Himself those who enter His sanctuary, and in this He makes not even half an iota's delay.

The source of bliss is He, the Lord of Lord's; and the True Guru, unites in His union. |5|

O Sire, the ever gracious Lord is meditated upon by Guru's grace, and through Guru's instruction do our wanderings cease.

Touching the philosopher's stone metal becomes gold. Such is the greatness of the society of Saints. |6|

God's Name is the pure water; the soul is the bather; and the True Guru is the bath-man, O brother.

By associating with the Saints society, man is not born again and his light merges into the supreme light. |7|

The mercurial mind wanders and runs after wealth and is intoxicated with the love of temporal attachment.

Being imbued with Guru's Hymns and instruction, Gods Name and devotional service are permanently established in man's mind. |3|

By wandering to holy places doubt departs not; with the curse of birth and death the world is ruined.

The demigods, men-renouncers, ritualists, silent sages and the divines, dance.

The Siddhas and seekers, and pious persons who have discernible intellect, embrace Lord's love and dance. |4|

The universes, solar systems, beings endowed with three dispositions, and morals, who bear Thee love, O Lord, dance.

The men and beasts and birds all dance, as also dance the four sources of Creation. |5|

Many men dance for the sake of mammon. Rare is the mortal who meditates on the `Real Thing'.

The man, to whom Thou showest mercy, obtains Thee, O Lord, by Guru's grace. |8|

If I forget the True Lord even for an instant, that time passes in vain.

The thread of the one Lord runs through the world, and when He pulls out the thread - the one Creator alone remains. |7|

With their tongue, the Saints sing God's praise, the Nectar of Nectars, and on their tongue they place God's elixir.

O Nanak, other than the Lord, I ask for nothing else; God and the love of Lord's nectar alone are dear unto me. |8|1|7|

Of all the courts, Thine is the True Court, and amongst the protection givers, Thou art the Supreme.

pervading everywhere is the rule of life of the supreme swans. |7|

Unprofitable is the life of those who know not their Master and fix their attention on others.

внимание на других.
O Nanak, it cannot be known how much punishment the Creator shall inflict on them. |1|

Contemplate thou on the True Name. The True Lord is pervading everywhere.
Так медитируй же на Истинное Имя. Истинный Господь распространяется повсюду.
O Nanak, by understanding God's order, man becomes acceptable and then obtains the true fruit.
О Нанак, понимая указ Бога, человек становится приемлемым и затем обретает
истинный плод.
He goes about talking and babbling, but realises not Lord's command at all. He is blind and the falsest of the false. |2|
Другой же человек ходит бормоча и болтая, но совсем не понимает повеление
Господа. Он – слепой и самый фальшивый из фальшивых.

Setting afoot union and separation, the Creator laid the foundation of the world.
Пустив в ход союз и разлучение, Творец заложил фундамент мира.
By His command the Lord of Light made the Universe and infused His light there in.
По Своему повелению Господь Света сотворил Вселенную и влил в неё Свой свет.
From the Lord of Light alone all light proceeds; the True Guru has preached this knowledge.
Лишь от Господа Света исходит весь свет; Истинный Гуру проповедовал это
сведение.
Creating Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva with three qualities, God put them to work.
Создав Брахму, Вишну и Шиву, имеющих три качества, Бог поставил их работать.
The world is made the root of misgiving, and happiness is attained in the fourth state. |2|
Этот мир был сделан корнем опасения, а счастья можно достичь в четвёртой стадии.

That alone is meditation and that the penance, which is pleasing to the True Guru.
Только то является медитацией и то – раскаянием, что приносит удовольствие
Истинному Гуру.
By pleasing the Satguru, greatness is obtained.
Принося удовольствие Сатгуру, мы обретаем величие.
O Nanak, by abandoning self-conceit, man merges into the Guru. |1|
О Нанак, оставив самодовольство, человек сливается с Гуру.

Rare is the person who receives Guru's instruction.
Редко бывает человек, который получает инструкции от Гуру.
He alone obtains it, whom the Lord Himself grants glory. |2|

Spiritual darkness is the basis of love of worldly valuables, and it is difficult and exceedingly heavy to overcome it.
Духовное невежество является основой любви к мирским ценностям, и очень трудно и
чрезвычайно тяжело от него избавиться.
When the life-boat is heavily laden with the stones of sin, how shall it cross the stream?
Когда жизнь-лодка до краёв наполнена камнями греха, как тогда она может
переплыть на другую сторону реки?
God ferries across those who night and day remain imbued with His devotion.
Бог перевозит тех, которые ночью и днём остаются пропитанными преданностью к
Ему.
By Guru's instruction man sheds ego and sin, and his soul becomes stainless.
По инструкции Гуру человек сбрасывает эго и грех, и его душа становится
незапятнанной.
Meditate thou on the Lord Master's Name. The Lord Master is the man's Emancipator. |3|
Так медитируй же на Имя Господа Мастера. Господь Мастер является Освободителем

O Kabir, the door of salvation is narrow like the one-tenth part of the mustard seed.
О Кабир, дверь к спасению такая узкая – как одна-десятая часть семя горчицы.
How can the mind, which has become bulky like an elephant, pass through it?
Как же тогда разум, который стал громоздким как слон, может в неё войти?
If man meets such a Guru, who becoming mightily pleased shows mercy,
Если человек встречается с Гуру, который став довольным проявляет милосердие,
Then spacious becomes the gate of salvation and the soul can easily pass in and out. |1|
Тогда ворота спасения становятся просторными, и душа с лёгкостью может входить и
выходить.
3rd Guru.
3-ий Гуру.
O Nanak, the gate of salvation is very narrow, and only he, who is tiny, can pass through it.
О Нанак, ворота спасения – очень узкие, и только кто-то крошечный может через
них пройти.
Through egotism the mind has become bloated. How can it pass through it?
Из-за эготизма разум раздулся. Как может он пройти через ворота?
By meeting the True Guru, egotism departs and mortal is filled with the Divine light.
Встретившись с Истинным Гуру, эготизм уходит, и смертный наполняется Небесным
светом.

This soul is then emancipated for ever and easily remains merged in God. |2|
Такая душа тогда навсегда освобождается и с лёгкостью остаётся слитой с Богом.

God created the Universe, and He keeps it under His power.
Бог сотворил Вселенную, и Он держит её в Своей власти.
God cannot be obtained by counting and the man wanders in the love of another.
Бога невозможно обрести подсчитывая, и человек продолжает скитаться в любви к
другому.
Meeting the True Guru, man remains dead in life, and knowing Him, he is absorbed in Truth.
Встретившись с Истинным Гуру, человек живя, остаётся мёртвым, и, познав Его, он
впитывается в Истину.
Through the Name, egotism is shed and one unites in the God's union.
Через Имя, человек сбрасывает свой эготизм и соединяется с Богом.
The Lord knows and does everything Himself, and beholding His Creation, He rejoices. |4|
Господь знает и всё делает Сам, и, созерцая Своё Творение, Он радуется.

He, who has not fixed his attention on the True Guru, and in whose mind the Name abides not,
Тот, кто не фиксировал своё внимание на Истинного Гуру, и в разуме которого не
пребывает Имя,
Accursed is such a life of his. What has he gained by coming into this world?
Проклята такая его жизнь. Чего же он достиг придя в этот мир?
Mammon is the false capital and in an instant its gilding falls off.
Мамона – это фальшивый капитал, и в мгновение её позолота исчезает.
When it slips from man's hand, his body turns black and his face withers away.
Когда она выскальзывает из руки человека, тогда его тело становится чёрным, а
лицо увядает.
They, whose attention is fixed on the True Guru, peace comes and abodes within their mind.
Те, которые фиксируют своё внимание на Истинного Гуру – покой приходит к ним и
пребывает у них в разуме.
God's Name they remember with cheer and in the love of God's Name they are absorbed.
Имя Божие они весело помнят, и, в любовь к Имени Божьему, они углублены.
O Nanak, the True Guru has conferred on them the wealth, which remains contained in their hearts.
О Нанак, Истинный Гуру пожаловал им богатство, которое находится у них в
сердцах.
They are blessed with the supreme love of the Lord; its colour increases day by day. |1|
Они благословлены наивысшей любовью Господа; её цвет становится ярче день за
днём.

Mammon is a she-serpent, which is clinging to the world.
Мамона – это змея, которая прицепилась к миру.
He, who performs her service, him she ultimately devours.
Тот, кто выполняет для неё службу, его же она в конце концов и пожирает.
Some rare Guru-ward is a snake-charmer, and he has trampled and crushed her and thrown her under his feet.
Только некоторые подопечные Гуру являются чародеями змеи, и они раздавили её и
бросили себе под ноги.
O Nanak, they alone are saved who remain absorbed in the True Lord's love. |2|
О Нанак, только те спасаются, которые остаются впитанными в любовь Истинного
Господа.

The minstrel utters a cry and the Lord hears.
Певец плача кричит, и Бог его слышит.
Within his mind is composure and he obtains the perfect Lord.
Внутри его разума есть покой, и он обретает совершенного Господа.
Whatever destiny is writ by the Lord, those deeds he does.
Какой бы приказ ни был напизан в его судьбе Господом, такие дела он и делает.
When the Master becomes merciful, then he obtains Master's mansion as his home.
Когда Мастер проявляет милосердие, тогда он обретает дворец Мастера как свой
дом.
That Lord of mine is exceedingly grand, and through the Guru is He met. |5|
Мой Господь чрезвычайно великолепен, и через Гуру мы с Ним встречаемся.

There is but one Lord of all, and He remains ever present.
Есть только один Господь всех, и Он является всегда присутствующим.
O Nanak, if the soul-wife obeys not His will then in her very home, the Lord seems far off.
О Нанак, если душа-жена не подчиняется Его воле, тогда в своём же доме, ей
кажется, что Господь далеко.
They alone submit to Lord's will, on whom is His grace.
Только те подчиняются воле Господа, которые имеют Его милость.
By obeying her Spouse's command the soul-bride attains peace and becomes the affectionate, happy wife of His. |1|
Выполняя приказ своего Супруга, душа-невеста достигает покоя и становится нежной
и счастливой Его женой.
3rd Guru.

The evil wife, who loves not her Spouse, keeps on burning and wasting the whole night.
А зловещая жена, которая не любит своего Супруга, продолжает гореть и
растрачивает всю ночь.
O Nanak, the chaste brides, who have God, the King, as their dear Spouse, abide in peace. |2|
О Нанак, целомудренные невесты, для которых Бог – Король является их супругом,
пребывают в покое.

Roaming the whole world through, I have seen God to be the only giver.
Скитаясь по всему миру, я видел, что Бог является единственным дающим.
By no device, whatever, God - the destiny's scribe - can be attained.
Каким бы то ни было способом достичь Бога, пишущего наши сўдьбы, невозможно.
By Guru's instruction the Lord God abides in man's mind and is easily revealed unto him.
По инструкциям Гуру, Господь Бог пребывает в разуме человека и с лёгкостью ему
раскрывается.
From within him the fire of desire is quenched and he bathes in the God's tank of Nectar.
Внутри него, огонь желания погасен, и он купается в бассейне Божьего Нектара.
The Guru-ward utters forth the great greatness of the great Lord. |6|

What love subsists between the body and soul, which ends when the body falls?
Какая же это любовь между телом и душой, которая заканчивается когда тело
падает?
Why then feed this body by telling lies, when at the time of departure it goes not with thee?
Зачем тогда кормить это тело ложью, когда во время ухода из этого мира оно с
тобою не пойдёт?
